OVERHILLS DEVELOPMENTAL LINKS

The philosophy of the Overhills Child Development Center, is based on meeting the developmental needs of every child within our reach.  This program is based on a quality environment that fosters different aspects of child development which consists of social/emotional, cognitive/intellect, physical/motor, and language/literacy.  It is important that our program involves constant and consistent interaction through our environment, with the child, the teacher, in addition to the family.  One of our primary goals is to provide a high quality early care and education service in a warm, happy, and secure environment in which all children can grow and learn.

Under the guidance of early care and education teachers and administrators, children engage in a variety of activities, which offer opportunities to explore and develop knowledge.  Children learn through play, and our classroom’s environment and curriculum have been designed to allow for children’s experimentation, and exploration in all of our developmental areas.

Our children in our early care and education program are encouraged to develop skills in self-direction, and the ability to make choices and decisions.  Behavior limits are imposed in manners, which preserve the child’s self-respect, and help the growth and development of self-esteem.

It is our goal to link the developmental domains in a perspective and fun format to promote the growth of the children entrusted with Overhills Child Development Center, LLC.  We promote the child’s development by focusing on the following:
